Bickhardt threads the beautiful songs together like pearls on a string. His lyrics show a lot of life experience but never get too ponderous or didactic. The production is open and clear and after only a couple of times this album nestles itself comfortably in your head and heart. Excellent musicians, with a special mention of the harmonic vocals of daughter Aislinn Bickhardt, complete the picture. Absolutely recommended for lovers of the genre.
