Allman Brothers Band – Live at Fillmore-East (1971)

This album was recommended to me by an acquaintance in the mid-70s. He was so enthusiastic that I quickly bought this double LP, but initially, I found it somewhat disappointing. I probably wasn’t ready for it yet, and the record went into storage.

About a year later, I gave it another try, and I was completely blown away. It remained my favorite album and band for years. This also opened doors to all kinds of blues and related music, making Live at Fillmore East hugely influential on my musical taste.

The quadriphonic version of the album cover was the one I had, and over time, three different CD editions have been added to my collection.
